Kristi Scarpone

Kristi is a nationally recognized fundraising practitioner specializing in integrating effective mission-based fundraising into the core of social profit organizations. Her transformative work engages key-stakeholders in both systematizing and honoring fundraising as a practice, and has been successful for organizations ranging from education and human services to spiritual-based and arts.

Her most recent work has been with recreation and health-based capital campaigns in New England where she has served as campaign counsel to large-scale projects. Her “on the ground” approach to community engagement and strategic coaching to campaign leadership are vital tools to campaign success. In addition to her campaign experience, Kristi is a consultant with the Soul of Money Institute, based in San Francisco and led by world renowned fundraiser and activist, Lynne Twist. In partnership with the Lenz Foundation, the consultants are working with socially engaged Buddhist organizations from around the country to create sustainable fundraising programs to further their work.

Over the past ten years Kristi has coached and trained hundreds of social profit organizations in the United States and Canada; leading regional and national workshops for the Scholastic Network Affiliate, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity and the Girl Scouts. She serves as adjunct faculty for the University of New Hampshire and New England College’s Masters in Nonprofit Management Program where she teaches courses in strategic fundraising and board development.

Prior to her social profit career, Kristi worked in human resources and education. She is a teacher by training with a masters degree in education and revels in sharing her knowledge and experience to help organizations fulfill their missions.

“Kristi is a luminous leader who inspires positive change. Her guidance is a rare and extraordinary combination of mission-driven actions with concrete outcomes that deeply benefit our work. With Kristi by our side, we have been able to accomplish more than we ever dreamed possible on behalf of children worldwide.”
